Savannah, Georgia is a beautiful place. It's also halfway between my house and my best friend's (since third grade!) house. We try to meet there each summer to catch up and relax for a long weekend. Summer of 2017 was a little different because my mother had only passed away a few months prior. But it was so cathartic for me to spend time with someone who had known my mother almost as long as I had. I captured this Savannah sunrise as I was driving away at the end of our weekend trip.
