I’m often overwhelmed by the clarity in my mother's messages. I’ve lived in Lake Wylie for 15 years or so and have never seen a row team on the water. On the six-month anniversary of her death, as I was taking sunrise pictures over the lake, this crossed right in front of my camera. I have no doubt as to the meaning of her message — although I often feel like I’m rowing backwards these days, I’m actually moving forward.
