Here's another sunrise picture from my first trip after my mother passed away. This one is titled “for the birds” for two reasons. The first is obvious — there are birds in the picture. The second is less obvious — me telling the world that this whole death and grieving process is for the birds. It's very difficult to learn to live without someone you loved so deeply from the moment you were born.
