Description
My mom’s mom (“Granny”) and her siblings raced to see who could fill their bags the fastest when they picked cotton. Mama told me Granny’s brother, William, emptied his cotton in to Granny’s bag at the end of each row. Why? So Granny could fill her bag before their oldest brother, Owen — a little sibling love, and rivalry, during the cotton harvest.
