I took sunrise pictures through the fog at a friend’s house recently. Afterwards, I joined her for coffee and told her that my buddy, the heron, came to visit after she went inside. It wasn’t until I was flipping through the images at home that I realized the heron had been there the entire time, literally from the first picture I took that morning.
