I’ve heard comments that I seem to be “doing well” since Mama’s death. But all I’m doing is taking it one day at a time. Like my recent climb up Hanging Rock, I must focus on the immediate step in front of me and blur out anything beyond that. I simply can’t think about all the moments that lie ahead without her in my life. That would make even more difficult what is already an extremely rocky climb.
