Description
Thanksgiving Day 2017 was the 8-month anniversary of Mama’s death. I was fascinated by a certain pot of flowers in my brother’s yard that day, and I took pictures of the tiny buds in the flowers’ centers. The next month, as we gathered for our first Christmas without Mama, I learned the flowers were originally placed on her grave for Mother’s Day. Six months later, a reminder of her ongoing presence, they were still blooming. (photo 1 of 3)
